Update from Italy...Perugia
hello to all. sorry for the phone situation. we just realized last night that we could not receive calls in italy without putting more minutes on the phone and funny enough we have not been successful at adding those minutes as of yet. hopefully by this afternoon we will be able to talk.
perugia is wonderful. it is a beautiful place and the people are just wonderful. last night we had dinner at lorenzos house. it was very informal but so neat. his family has a beautiful home that looks out off a mountain over the city. the food was so good and the family was so nice. after dinner, the young people made our way to the plaza where we followed lorenzo down the street to reginas apartment. he called to her from the street and she came to the balcony. he serenaded her with an italian love song in the street while she cried happily from her balcony. it was just like the movies. lorenzo has done an amazing job making things as "texan" as possible. he wore a cowboy hat and a superman shirt while singing. he is so wonderful and after he finished singing she yelled "i love you regina" as loud as he could. it was so incredible. im sure we woke some people up seeing as how everyone sleeps with their windows open but i can not imagine they did not enjoy the moment.
we will be going to the wedding this afternoon at 5. there will be 13 countries represented at the wedding. it is just the greatest experience we have ever had. we cant wait to show you all the pictures and tell you more stories. lorenzo and reginas friends are just wonderful as well. most of them speak spanish so kate has made many new friends. i usually just smile and pretend like i know what they are saying. many of them speak english as well which is great for me. lorenzos friend, frederico, showed us around last night and it taking us to the good shops today. perugia is such an amazing place. sorry for the longevity but you know i could go on forever. we miss you all very much and im eager to get home and tell you all about this adventure. hope everyone is going well and happy 4th of july! (in 2 days)

Hey---I got up at 6:00am===again to try and call you guys. Dad went golfing with Steve in Gaines County and they left very early.....needlees to say we didn't get you...thanks for letting us know why the phone doesn't work...We will try after the wedding....and Dad is home...can't wait to hear more about the wedding...tell everyone there hello and we are so happy you two are having a blast..do not meet any guys that will cause you to stay tooooooo long..luv, mom
Hey, all that 'don't find a man talk' does not apply to you finding someone for your friends. I would add sister but that seems to be going pretty well. If you asked me I might tell you about the midnight motorcycle drive from New Mexico and him showing up at the door. But only if you wanted to know. And erin reacted really well. Emily is home this weekend and Bree stayed with us a few nights ago. I'm at home in Azle for the weekend. yippee.
ok all we are having issues with the cell phone in italy. apparently it charges us every time we talk on the phone. didnt know that. no worries. we will be back in spain super soon. mandy will be there tomorrow and i will be there on tuesday. happy early fourth of july to you all as well. love you much!kate
hello hello hello!!! i must apologize for the phone situation as well. i used up most of the minutes today talking to my parents so im sorry winfrey family...you can blame me.
on a brighter note, the wedding was fabulous. we felt like we were at a famous persons wedding. the ceremony was beautiful and the reception was quite a party with tons of wonderful food and fun music. it was definitely a once in a life time event for me. perugia was especially spectacular. i have found that i enjoy the smaller towns over the large cities. i will be heading back to spain in the morning and then the states tuesday so this should be my last post from europe. im sad to leave but excited to share pictures and stories about the trip. i will also come bearing many hugs from kate. hope you all are enjoying the 4th of july weekend. see ya real soon.

kate, disappoint does not begin to express how I feel when i realized that you had try to IM two hours ago and I missed it because i was away from my computer....*sigh* someday we shall talk again, and how glorious it will be. I'm off..hopefully will talk to you later! -em-
hello america on this 4th of july that i am missing. i arrived back in sevilla today and am exhausted. kate should be arriving back in spain tomorrow. we had a wonderful time in italy and i am said to say this is my last letter from europe. i am excited to come home and tell about the trip but very sad to leave these great people and beautiful places. i hope to see you all very soon.
