An unusual wedding idea

One of our first trips as a group was to the roman ruins just outside of Seville, Italica. We left Seville at 10 in the morning and needless to say it was already hot. We (Idoia and I) were enjoying the tour from afar, because Doug, the director, likes to give the tour standing in the cool and friendly beams of sunlight that gently burn your skin to a crisp. See the small areas of shade up against the walls, yeah that's where we were. Anyway, we were leaving this part of the ruins just as this wedding was about to start. On our way out of Italica, about two hours later, we saw the wedding party again taking photos and such and, let's just say, (advice for Lindsey concerning makeup) the bride's makeup was not 100+ degree-weather-proof. It was hanging down around her chin and I'm sure that in the "light and airy" multi-layered dress she was sporting, she felt indeed like a blushing beautiful bride. So all this to say, I was thinking that maybe we could move the wedding to the Roman ruins that lie (is that right Mom?) just outside Azle, Texas. Posted by Picasa

You know, with the wonderful hot weather experience I had taking my bridal pictures around noon, this sounds like an equally delightful experience. You don't think anyone would mind if i hiked my dress up past my knees to cool off every once in a while do you?

sometimes, lindsey, i where a wedding gown around. it is for fun. plus, who doesn't went to feel special and beautiful every once in a while.

here are some tips i have picked up to help keep you cool while in your blessed frock:

1. you have the right idea with hiking the skirt up to your knees, however, this would be much easier if you had a draw chord installed. you could raise and lower the skirt like venitian blinds. this will prevent any unnecessary bending at the torso in a dress that has been 'hopefully' sized.

2. don't 'hopefully' size your dress. i put on some weight last month and when i went to put on the my dress i could barely get it fastened. on top of that it was like a million degrees in my apartment. i was twirling around and my tiara fell off. as i bent down to pick it up i almost passed out. this could have been disasterous. as much as i enjoy my wedding gown i don't want to be found unconsious wearing it.

3. remove the mid-rif portion of the dress. this will allow maximum breathability and maximum class.

hope i could be of help,
jay

Re:video
firstly, I'm glad you found me.
secondly, I think need to put a stronger "cry" warning on that video. It really should not be watched (unless by supervision) by any of the following people:
a)women
b)women going through "that time of the month"
c)people with any degree of homesickness
d)people who have known anybody with a handicap
e)any one with the name of Emily Louise Brown
f)Any one that has any bit of humanism in them

Alas, i'm glad you liked it. we miss you too...
