last day of nothing

today i am being very productive... i just realized it's my last day without actual work and that i had better start getting important things done that i've wanted to do that WILL NOT get done during school.
1) clean the bathroom
2) clean the mirror in the bathroom
3) clean the floor in the bathroom
4) get shower pole cut off so that it won't be laying in my floor anymore
5) put things from the hall in the attic
6) put dirty clothes in the washing machine and not just beside the washing machine
7) start the washing machine
8) start the dishwasher
9) sweep out the garage
10) carry out the trash
11) fold blanket that's outside
12) clean bedroom
13) hang up all clothes
14) clean off top of dresser
15) reorganize stacks of crap
16) take clothes to goodwill
17) have a diet coke

pretty good list huh... i think that if you break down each chore like "clean the bathroom" into about twelve tiny chores on the list it looks like you've done way more than you really have. so basically what i'm sayin is... i'm the hardest worker i know and will continue to be as i go put the paintbrush away that's sittin by the sink. i am such a hard worker...

i admire this thought process of breaking things down into smaller chores whereby appearing to have accomplished more activities. did that sound like erin? anyway, i think I am going to start doing that and telling everyone about it. like now for instance, I am about to wash my hair, condition my hair, shave my legs, wash my face and body, get out of the shower and dry off, then blow dry my hair and get ready even though its late. so, i hope everyone enjoyed that and recognizes how productive i really am.

KATE~ Que tal! I found your blog through Sarah Fraser's. I am so glad you had an amazing time in Espana! It sounds like you were there FOREVER, I was definitely Texas-sick after five weeks. It's cool to read about your adventures especially since I had the opportunity to experience a lot of the same stuff. What was your favorite city? Barcelona was mine by far, it just blew me away. Well, have a great semester and I hope you get your list done! ~Stephanie Orr

lindsey, while it seems like you accomplished a lot, because i have lived with you, i know how to interpret what you said you did into what you actually did:

slept in, got up late, thought about showering, decided not to shower, checked to make sure you didn't smell bad, found out you did, put on some deodorant, put the hair in a ponytail, put on mascara, curled the eyelashes, put on mascara, put on mascara, put on mascara, picked up what you wore yesterday off of the floor, put on what you wore yesterday, put on your glasses, ate your negative breakfast, and were late for work because of the negative breakfast.

my list looks so much better. and it's accurate. so there's that...

hi stephanie!! so glad you made it back to Texas safe and sound. i was super texas sick and extremely excited to get back home. i have just started teacher orientation for the fall semester. eek. i will be teaching 3 sections of 1507 all on tuesdays and thursdays. the structure of the course has been redesigned so that we only meet twice a week. no class will ever be as fun as the first;) oh and favorite city, hmmm... bad experience in barcelona so it's probably ruled out but i liked riding the night train from sevilla to get there...

Umm, excuse me Erin but you are incorrect. that would be curl eyelashes, put on mascara, curl eyelashes, put on mascara, put on mascara, put on mascara.

jay i had to go back to the last post to figure out who c-unit was. oops. oh and i hate to have to be captain correction but lindsey is not spelled with a "k." oh but for all of you who don't know, i'm thinking of permanently changing my name to Captain Marie Winfrey because it sounds a whole lot like Katherine Marie Winfrey. However I am considering a spelling change to Captain... Kaptin Marie Winfrey... comments and suggestions welcome.

Captain Marie...ha, like "Captain and Tenille" right? too bad I don't even know who tenille is!! Also, here's an announcement... It has become tradition around the e. & k.winfrey house that whenever they are entertaining new people and I am around, "Girl's State" always "happens" to pop up in the conversation. coincidence? I think not...so, i find myself in a condundrum...do i satisfy the laughter appetites of those around me? or do I make the situation awkward by refusing to perform on command? Again, I hate to disappoint my public, however, I want to be known for something other than my infamous girl's state singing abilities...so i'm going to videotape myself singing, put it on the internet, so it's no longer a wanted commodity. However, I could probably be convinced to perform at showers and bar mitzfah's...for a small fee!!

nah kaptin man...
i spelled linksey with a 'k' on purpose. yesterday i just kept saying 'wee little linksey' in my head. made my laugh everytime. its funny, but true...maybe that's why its so funny.

kate, in order for me to help you with your permanent name change i have to ask a very important question:
what type of captain are you?
this is important to know, because the puns and elaborations need a direction to be effective.
a pirate captain?
"Arrrrgggg! I said sing ye little heart out lassy or i'll plunder ye ole' village!"
a starship enterprise captain?
"captain's log. stardate 078u9w3. we are... on a distant... planet. i... can't seem... to poo... and it is becoming... quite painful."
or are you a team captain?
"alright guys, we got some new guests. we gosta rally together really show 'em a good time. erin, make the dip. wee little linksey, offer some drinks. i'm going to blockbuster to get a movie. e.l., sing that funny song of yours."

you see now? before i can offer nickname advice i have to know what i'm dealing with.

getting to the bottom of this,
soy el c-unit
